Early Caries Detection

To detect caries at an early stage we always work with magnifying glasses for a thorough check of all dental surfaces. In addition to digital x-rays we use an intraoral camera to diagnose caries. In this process infrared light penetrates the teeth and gets reflected differently depending on translucency. The reflected light is recorded by the camera and is displayed as a black-and-white image, and serves as a backup.

For the right therapy we diagnose with the current ICDAS System (International Caries Detection and Assessment System).
